The Wizard of Oz

ArtWorks Academy  believes  performing  provides  opportunities  for  growth  and  development. Collaborating with peers to produce a play or musical teaches students the importance of teamwork, while building self-confidence. Our productions are open to students with varying levels of experience in K-12th grade.

Each semester this class will rehearse and perform a musical. Students will be instructed in every aspect of the production process. Auditions will be held during the second week of class. All enrolled students will be cast in the production. Each student will have their moment to shine!

During the spring of 2022 our K-8th grade students will present The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition. Our 7th-12th grade students will present the full-length version of The Wizard of Oz, complete with a live orchestra.

Students already enrolled for the fall semester (Aladdin and Mamma Mia) do not need to reenroll.

Students enrolling prior to January 27 will be put on a waiting list.  We will open up enrollment on January 27 and move anyone from the waiting list to the class roster, as long as their is room. We will notify you when we have moved your child into the class.

Classes for both versions of The Wizard of Oz begin the week of January 31, 2022.

“ArtWorks Academy helped me discover my passion for Musical Theatre. The owners, Katie and Michael, became my biggest role models, and I made life long friends. This theatre is the reason I was able to get into Oklahoma City University’s School of Music. If you’re looking for a foundation for your future success, go to ArtWorks Academy!” -Mackenzie M.
