Education

A Solid Foundation

ArtWorks Academy classes are guided by our long-standing commitment to providing students with a comprehensive arts education. Through our core creative practices (learn, explore, create) we provide our students with key arts experiences that produce artistically literate students.

ArtWorks Academy offers classes through three schools: School of Dance, School of Theatre, and School of Music. Visual arts classes are taught through the School of Theatre, as the art processes taught are used in theatrical settings. All three schools work collaboratively to produce multiple productions, recitals, concerts, and hands-on process learning opportunities per year.

Student Culture

ArtWorks Academy is known for being a family-friendly environment where children are challenged, learn proper technique, and fall in love with the arts, all while having a great time and making lifelong friendships! Our students love being around each other and, for many, ArtWorks Academy is their home away from home. We meet kids where they are and help grow their confidence through their experiences and classes at AWA.

ArtWorks Academy students are united by a passion for the arts. AWA is characterized by its community. ArtWorks Academy faculty serves and develops the “whole child” by encouraging self-expression, nurturing self-esteem, and challenging each student’s imagination. Our students are continuously recognized in the community for excellence both in and out of the arts. They have strong work ethics and are eager to learn. Our goal is to foster an atmosphere where teamwork is highly valued and students become well-rounded artists.

Our Classes

ArtWorks Academy provides fun, challenging, high-quality classes to students of every ability and level of interest. After taking one of our classes, our hope is that each student will walk away with:

  • a stronger sense of SELF-WORTH
  • more CONFIDENCE
  • the ability to WORK WELL WITH OTHERS
  • a KNOWLEDGE of the issues that affect their world
  • a LOVE of the arts
  • a wildly CREATIVE SPIRIT

Satellite Locations

We currently offer classes at our Main Campus in north Norman, and at our satellite campuses in Yukon and in SE Norman/Noble. We are honored to be able to bring the arts to students in these communities!

Multi-Class Discount

We offer a multi-class discount for students who take more than one class. The more classes your child enrolls in, the bigger discount you will receive.  You will also receive a 10% sibling discount for two or more siblings enrolled in classes at ArtWorks Academy.

“This place has transformed my kids into confident, outgoing individuals who have found out how to express their talents while making wonderful friends! The staff is super friendly, always helpful, and very invested in your child’s future! In just a year our daughter has been in a dance class, two dance camps, and three musicals and our son has been in one dance camp, two straight plays, and four musicals. They are both excited to start the next one!! Come join the family!!”
