Summer Classes

“Every single instructor we have worked with at ArtWorks Academy has been more than just masters of their craft, but wonderful teachers, caring mentors, and inspirational leaders. This studio has become more than just a school for my daughter, it’s a second home. And the staff are more than just teachers, they are family. They genuinely care about her and want to see her succeed, in dance and in life. ArtWorks is our forever dance home and we know you will adore it just as much as we do!” –April Holzberlein

Summer is an exciting time at ArtWorks Academy! This summer we have a variety of arts classes available for one year olds to adults. All classes with grade requirements are based on the grade the student will be in during the 2026-2027 school year. Enrollment in classes with age requirements should be determined based on how old your child will be by the first day of class.

A $20.00 non-refundable deposit is due upon enrollment to hold your child’s spot. The session charge listed, once you enroll, is your remaining balance. The balance is due on June 15.

Students enrolling in two or more camps or classes will receive a 10% discount off of each camp or class.

All students enrolled by May 15 in a Summer 2026 Camp (one-day camps do not count, unless enrolled in all four days) or Class will receive a free t-shirt! Make sure you give us your child’s t-shirt size when you enroll. You will see a box to do so when you are completing the Student Information section as you enroll.

If you need to withdraw from a class or transfer to another class, you MUST fill out a Change Request Form. Click here to do so.

Our six-week summer session runs from June 22-July 30, 2026

Parent and Tot (1-2 year olds)

Parents or caregivers actively participate in our Parent and Tot classes with their child. Students learn basic dance steps and terminology through songs and imaginative play. Parent and Tot classes focus on ballet and beginning acro. Students will work on acro skills such as log rolls, forward rolls, wheelbarrows, etc. They will develop core strength and gross motor skills necessary for more difficult skills as they get older.   Parent and Tot classes are a great stepping stone to our 3-4 year old classes, where they will participate without a parent.

Parent and Tot classes provide a wonderful way for you to bond with your child. They can also be a great opportunity for parents and students to make new friends or you can invite your friends or playgroup to enroll in the same class with you!

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (10th-12th Grade, 2026 grads)

This summer we will produce The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee with rising 10th-12th grade students and 2026 grads. This show is a small cast and audition only, meaning students must audition to be cast and we will select those we feel will be the best fit for the production.  Please note: This show is rated PG-13. Please familiarize yourself with the content prior to auditions. We will use the approved edit of “My Unfortunate Distraction” in place of the original song. The song still has the same context, just some different lyrics.

About The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee:

Winner of the Tony and the Drama Desk Awards for Best Book, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee has charmed audiences across the country with its effortless wit and humor. Featuring a fast-paced, wildly funny and touching book by Rachel Sheinkin and a truly fresh and vibrant score by William Finn, this bee is one unforgettable experience.

An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming “ding” of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion! At least the losers get a juice box. (MTIShows.com)
