Parent & Tot Classes

As we celebrate our 20th Season, we wanted to do something special for our community.

This season, we’re offering our Parent & Tot: Little Movers and Parent & Tot: Dance & Tumble classes completely free. While tuition is required for our other programs, we want to provide an opportunity for every child three and under the chance to experience movement, creativity, and the arts alongside their parent or caregiver, at no cost.

Movement and the arts play an important role in a child’s early development. Through dance, tumbling, and creative play, young children build confidence, coordination, creativity, and a love of learning. By offering these classes at no cost, we hope more families can experience those benefits together from the very beginning.

Whether you’re already part of the ArtWorks Academy family or joining us for the very first time, we’re excited to welcome you and your little one into our Parent and Tot classes!

Through movement, dancing to songs, sensory exploration, and age-appropriate play, little ones begin developing coordination, balance, body awareness, and gross motor skills in a fun and nurturing environment. Parents and caregivers actively participate alongside their child in this free dance class designed especially for babies and young toddlers. Each class encourages curiosity, exploration, and connection while giving children opportunities to move, discover, and grow at their own pace.

Parent & Tot: Little Movers is a wonderful way to bond with your child while introducing them to the joy of dance in a welcoming studio setting. 

Classes for the 2026-2027 school year begin on August 30, 2026.

PARENT & TOT: LITTLE MOVERS (6-18 MONTHS)

Parents and caregivers actively participate alongside their child in this free dance and tumble class designed especially for toddlers. Together, you’ll explore the foundations of dance through age-appropriate instruction while your child builds coordination, balance, flexibility, body awareness, and confidence. Children will learn basic dance steps and terminology and be introduced to beginning tumbling skills such as log rolls, forward rolls, wheelbarrows, jumping, balancing, and other activities that support gross motor development and core strength.

This class provides a fun and encouraging environment where toddlers can develop a love of dance while becoming comfortable in a dance class with their parent or caregiver by their side. As children grow in confidence and independence, Parent & Tot: Dance & Tumble serves as a wonderful stepping stone to our preschool dance classes, where they can participate on their own when they’re ready.
