Saturday Eight-Week Sessions

Come explore the arts with ArtWorks Academy!

ArtWorks Academy’s eight-week arts experiences are perfect for the budding artist who is excited to take a dance or musical theatre class, but might not be able to commit to our lengthier school year classes. ArtWorks Academy offers a very unique option for our Saturday sessions. Each session is themed and culminates in an informal performance for family. Students in our Saturday eight-week sessions will perform in the short musical theatre and dance production. The flexibility of these shorter sessions allows you to hand-pick your child’s favorite themes and select the sessions(s) that work best for your family.

Parent and Tot (walking to 2 year olds)

Parents or caregivers actively participate in our Parent and Tot classes with their child. Students learn basic dance steps and terminology through songs, stories, and imaginative play. Parent and Tot classes focus on ballet and beginning acro. Students will work on acro skills such as log rolls, forward rolls, wheelbarrows, etc. They will develop core strength and gross motor skills necessary for more difficult skills as they get older.   Parent and Tot classes are a great stepping stone to our 3-4 year old classes, where they will participate without a parent.

Parent and Tot classes provide a wonderful way for you to bond with your child. They can also be a great opportunity for parents and students to make new friends or you can invite your friends or playgroup to enroll in the same class with you!

Students (and their parent) in our Saturday eight-week session of Parent and Tot will perform a dance for their family in a short musical at the end of the session.

Saturdays 9:00-9:30 am

Tuition for eight-week session: $100

Session Two will not meet on November 26 due to Thanksgiving Break. Session Four will not meet on March 18 due to Spring Break. Both sessions still have eight classes.

Tap, Twirl, and Tumble (3-4 year olds)

Our preschool classes include preballet, tap and beginning acro skills! Our youngest dancers will develop rhythm and musicality through tap.  They will learn the basics of ballet while developing their gross motor skills, balance, and grace.  Finally, they will work through the primary level of the Acrobatic Arts syllabus to gain strength and flexibility that will help them in all future dance endeavors – ballet, tap, jazz, and advanced acro!  Start your young dancer off right with a balance of strength, musicality, and poise in our TTT classes!

Students in our Saturday eight-week session of Tap, Twirl, and Tumble will perform a dance for their family in a short musical at the end of the session.
