“I love teaching because it is the most amazing thing to see is someone find their passion. Something that makes them so happy and feel so free that they feel confident in themselves and in everything they do. I love being able to bond with the kids over a shared passion and be able to create incredible things!”
Maddie grew up in Norman, OK attending Norman North High School. The performing arts have been the focus of her life since she was a child. She was a student at ArtWorks Academy from the age of eight to graduation. After spending years attending dance classes, voice lessons, singing in choirs, and performing in over 30 musicals (at ArtWorks Academy, The Sooner Theatre, and Norman North High School), Maddie decided to further her arts education at the collegiate level. She was accepted into the musical theater program at the University of Central Oklahoma and is currently pursuing her Bachelors of Music in Musical Theatre. Maddie loves performing but is equally as passionate about teaching. She began working at AWA as a class assistant while in high school, which is really where she found her passion for teaching. Maddie teaches dance and musical theatre classes at ArtWorks Academy. Her students love her positive, upbeat, and kind teaching style. Maddie loves her home she has found here at ArtWorks and can’t wait to work with your kids and help them find their home here as well!
