Student Choreography Showcase

National Dance Honor Society Student Choreography Showcase

ArtWorks Academy students have the chance to join the National Honor Society for Dance Arts™ (NHSDA), which is a program of the National Dance Education Organization.  It was created to recognize outstanding artistic merit, leadership, and academic achievement in students studying dance.  ArtWorks Academy students in 9th-12th grades can join NSHDA, if they meet the eligibility requirements. Students are eligible for induction once they have earned an accumulation of 30 points, which they earn through dance activities such as dance classes, rehearsals, performances, research, workshops, or community service activities.  They must also maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.

ArtWorks Academy NSHDA members produce their own student led choreography showcase each fall.  They are involved in every aspect of the showcase, including: casting, choreographing, budget planning, ticket sales, advertising, and more!

Performance Dates and Venue

The Student Choreography Showcase will be Saturday, August 28 at 7:00 pm in Mabee Hall at Randall University in Moore, which is located at 3701 S. I-35 Service Rd.

Tickets will be $10 each.  They will go on sale a couple of weeks before the show.

“At Artworks, through their competitive dance, recreational dance, and theatre programs, I have found a new passion for performing, met some of my best friends, learned lots from the incredible staff there, and I have grown into a more confident, empowered version of myself.” -Kenzie W.
