Monica Wright Hale

Dance Instructor

“I like working with students to help them achieve their goals, and encouraging them to push themselves to do their best. I love that dance is a way of communicating beyond words, expressing the emotions we can’t speak and thoughts we can’t describe.”

Monica grew up in Norman, OK. Dance has always been a huge part of her life. She trained at several local studios in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and contemporary. Monica was part of the original cast of The Oklahoma Nutcracker and the Young Choreographers Showcase in 2002 and 2003. Monica attended Oklahoma Baptist University where she received a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She also has a Masters in Nursing Education from the University of Oklahoma. Monica began teaching at ArtWorks Academy in 2016. She loves teaching all styles of dance, but her favorite styles are tap and lyrical. Her choreography for Relevé Dance Company has won multiple awards and her dancers have also won top awards. Monica is a proud wife, and mom to Hannah, Molly, and Jack.
