Calling all toddlers and preschoolers! ArtWorks Academy offers Little Cirque classes for students 1-5 years of age. Watch your son or daughter gain confidence and learn new skills in this super fun class.

Classes include basic tumbling, interactive circuits, balance beams, silks, juggling, hula hoops and more all under the supervision of our certified and qualified instructors.

SILKS

Silks, also known as Tissu, originated from French circus culture. Students perform acrobatics, strength, and contortion using strong fabric draped from the ceiling. They use the fabric to wrap, suspend, swing, and spiral their body in and out of tricks and poses.

TRAPEZE

One of the oldest apparatuses in circus history, trapeze is popular for ages two and up. Students get to hang, spin, and live their ultimate trapeze artist fantasy, all while gaining strength, flexibility, and having fun!

JUGGLING

The art of juggling dates back thousands of years and is an important circus tradition! Our instructors teach you how to keep scarves, balls, and rings in the air! Students learn juggling principles, including throw and catch technique, timing, and rhythm.

LITTLE CIRQUE SCHEDULE

Students can begin our Little Cirque class at one. Students one to two years old will be in a Parent and Tot class. Parents or caregivers actively participate in our Parent and Tot classes with their child. Parent and Tot classes are a great stepping stone to our 3-4 year old classes, where they will participate without a parent.

Please base your child’s class enrollment on the age they are on September 1, 2023.  Students turning five during the school year will be in our 3-4 year old classes, and not the K-2nd grade classes.

Classes for the 2023-2024 Season begin the week of August 26, 2023

Dancing is rhythmic. It improves your cognitive reason, strengthening your brain.  It can also help you stay relaxed, and improves your mental health.  Rhythm in movement isn’t just important to dance, it is essential to just about every sports skill you can imagine!
